Nudesletter – September 2018

Hi,

The holidays are almost at an end, which means that we will soon be back at Roger Le Gall Swimming Pool. I hope you all made the most of this wonderful summer. We have lots of interesting projects planned for the upcoming season, to give you the opportunity to practise naturism throughout the year.

Events in August:

On August 4th, we were welcomed for a gorgeous day at Les Hespérides in Essonne, south of Paris, where we enjoyed ourselves from midday till midnight. Lunch, Mölkky, pétanque, a big communal dinner, karaoke and a midnight swim to finish off this fabulous and unforgettable day.

The following day, we enjoyed the sun and the high temperature again during a picnic in the Bois de Vincennes.

On August 15th, the Club Gymnique de France organised a pétanque competition.

On Sunday 19th, we were back in the Bois de Vincennes for another picnic.

Upcoming events:

Join us tomorrow, Sunday September 2nd, for a free open air yoga class open to all, followed by a picnic in the naturist zone of the Bois de Vincennes, from 11:30am till 5:30pm. Don’t forget to bring something to eat and drink, as well as your picnic rugs.

On Saturday September 8th, we will run a stand at the annual Associations Forum in the 12th arrondissement, from 10am till 6pm, on Boulevard Reuilly. Come and say hi to us during the day!

On Sunday 9th, we’re organising another picnic in the naturist zone of the Bois de Vincennes, from 11:30am till 5:30pm.

For the third year in a row, our friends from APNEL are running a stand at the Fête de l’Humanité on Friday September 14th, Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th and the ANP will be there to support them.

On Sunday 23rd, come and listen to Stefano, our swimming coach and accomplished jazz musician, during a concert in Arcueil, just outside of Paris, from 5pm.

On Sunday September 30th, we’re meeting up once again in the naturist zone of the Bois de Vincennes for a free yoga class and picnic from 11:30am till 5:30pm.

On Monday October 1st, we’re organising our first swimming competition of the season at Roger Le Gall Swimming Pool at 9pm. There’s no surcharge to participate and it’s open to all. You can sign up from today.

For more information on our outings, please take a look at the events page on our website or send us an email.

Phone number: We have a new telephone number for the organisation of our outings, that you can contact by SMS: +33 (0)7 66 14 53 09.

Reopening: The pool will remain closed for work for another three weeks. During this time, the gym and steam room will be open from Monday to Friday but only for ANP members. Please come with your up to date membership cards.

The long-awaited day is close! Our activities restart on Monday September 24th at 9pm at Roger Le Gall Swimming Pool. Catch up with your old friends or, if you’ve never been, your new family is waiting fro you!

Open door week: During the first week of the season, entry will be free for all visitors. It’s your opportunity to discover or to rediscover our association.

Monday September 24th from 9pm till 11pm
Wednesday September 26th from 9pm till 11pm
Friday September 28th from 9:30pm till 11:30pm

Bois de Vincennes: From today, the opening hours in the naturist zone of the Bois de Vincennes have changed:

From September 1st to 30th: 8am to 8:30pm
From October 1st to 14th: 8am to 7pm

I hope the temperatures will remain summery for the last six weeks of the season.

For the most part, the nude park has been a huge success. I’ve seen some negative comments on social media but as they mostly always come from the same people who belittle everything on naturist forums, I hope that the other 99.9% manage to ignore them. Certain people put a lot of energy into destroying new initiatives, because they don’t correspond with their idea of naturism. Our movement is based on respect, so let’s each respect the choices of others and live in harmony.

Graphic designer: We’re looking for a graphic designer among our members who can give a hand to Stéphane with the visuals he creates for our outings and events. If you think you could spare us a bit of time (as a volunteer), please contact me.

Book: A new book for young people has just been released, “Mamie est nudiste” (Grandma is a Nudist), which presents naturism to youth. The publisher is looking for bookshops or sales points willing to offer it. If you know of any, please send me a message, that I will transfer to the publisher.

Partnership: I’ve added a new “sister club” to our links page, the Eastbourne Naturist Swim Club. If you’re visiting the south of England, get in touch with this club which is as active as ours, with a pool, museum visits, restaurant nights and loads of other activities.

Facebook: We’ve tripled the numbers on our new Facebook page. The battle still rages! If we abandon naturophobic social media sites, this sort of mentality will never change. It’s only by showing ourselves online or in the press that things will evolve. So I encourage you to be proud.
