Nudesletter – June 2019

Hello!

On May 21st, the ANP celebrated its 66th birthday. Thank you everyone, club members, visitors and board members, as well as our lifeguards plus yoga and gym coaches for bringing so much life to this wonderful association.

May was a turbulent month, with voyages, annual general meetings and more. In spite of the drop in temperature after a relatively warm April, numbers at the pool were high. The warm season is on its way and I hope that the temperature this weekend is a sign of things to come. The roof of the pool is open and you can now swim under the stars.

Events in May:

Some Parisians went to Spain at the beginning of the month for a week with AANUMA (Asociación de Amigos del Nudismo en Madrid) in a country house. The sun was shining and our members received a warm welcome. We hope to multiply gatherings with this association.

From May 3rd – 5th, Beatrice and I had the pleasure of attending the French Federation of Naturism’s Annual General Meeting in Piriac sur Mer in the Atlantic coast. The very dynamic president Viviane Tiar is leading her united team in the same direction: forward. This team genuinely wants to do good for every association and every licence holder. The federation will be more involved in club life, with the organisation of events open to all. On top of that, the licence in 2020 will offer us an insurance stronger than ever. More important than what the licence gives us, it’s what the purchase of your licence gives to the entire naturist movement; by buying your licence, you help an international movement to exist. It helps with the opening of new naturist areas and to keep existing zones open. It’s with the real number of card carriers and not by the estimated number of naturists that our politicians are prepared to grant us these areas and modify laws. If you regularly (or occasionally) visit a public naturist zone, remember that it exists thanks to the efforts of volunteers who have fought to obtain it, actions that are difficult to achieve without the sale of licences.

We organised two picnics in the nude park in the Bois de Vincennes in May, on the 5th and the 19th. The latter was unfortunately cancelled due to rain.

A group of members went to Grottamiranda naturist resort in Puglia in May. From the moment of arrival, it’s obvious that Grottamiranda is a resort unlike others. It’s not customers that Martine and Pierre-Hugues welcome but friends. They know the first name of each person and during the guided visit of the grounds the new arrivals are presented to other guests, the beginning of new friendships. This dynamic couple is present from morning till night to ensure the comfort and needs of their guests. The only disappointment of the week was having to leave to come home to Paris.

We held our Annual General Meeting on Sunday May 12th at the Hespérides naturist club in Étréchy, near Paris. A big thank you to our members who came so early on a Sunday morning, to the Hespérides team for their welcome and the afternoon’s activities and to Stefano for the jazz concert, accompanied for a time by our singing member Pierre.

On the last weekend of the month, a dozen members went to Marseille to see our friends at the Association Naturiste Phocéenne. Between boozy evenings, there were visits to the Calanques coves for swims and nude hikes under the southern sun.

Upcoming events:

On the Sundays of June 2nd and 16th, we’re organising picnics in the nude park in the Bois de Vincennes. We’re starting at 11:30 with a gym class on the grass with Yvan, free and open to everyone. The picnic starts at 12:30. Come with your picnic rugs and your hampers filled with goodies to share!

The week of June 24th will be our open door week, Monday 24th, Wednesday 26th and Friday 28th, so it’s an opportunity to discover or to rediscover the ANP, with free entry for everyone.

On Sunday June 30th, we’re hosting the second edition of Paris Naturist Day in the in the nude zone of the Bois de Vincennes. Last year there were 930 people for France’s biggest naturist gathering. Numerous activities will be on offer throughout the day, from 11:30am till 6:30pm, including gym and yoga sessions, body painting and a huge picnic.

July kicks off with a day at the Hespérides on Saturday 6th. On the agenda: lunch, pool, pétanque and Mölkky during the afternoon, drinks and dinner followed by an evening of karaoke, for just €13. Please bring along your dishes and drinks to share. Reserve your places here.

For more information on our outings, please take a look at the events page on our website or send us an email or an SMS on +33 7 66 14 53 09.

Monthly drinks – Monday June 3rd: The theme for this month’s drinks is the taste of the South and you will have the opportunity to win a week for two at Origan Village naturist resort! Thank you Michel Authiat for this generous gift and to Claude for his organisation and presence on the night. Please come with a dish or drinks to share.

Closure: The pool and gym will be closed on Monday June 10th for Pentecost.

Naturist Talent, 2019: Because naturists have got talent, because our members have got talent, we want to see that talent shine and share it with other naturists, in a naturist environment. The ANP’s 2019 talent quest is open!
Musicians, artists, taggers, hip hoppers, portraitists, contortionists, folk dancers, jugglers, singers, unicyclists, clowns, acrobats, illusionists, actors, mimes, etc…
Contact us and tell us what your art is, at anp.paris75@gmail.com or by SMS on +33 7 66 14 53 09.

Naturistly,
Laurent
