Nudesletter – February 2018

Hi,

A member recently remarked that in reading my Nudesletters, it looks as though I’m never in Paris. I’m writing to you this month on my way to Lyon, where six ANP members will join in a nude bowling tournament organised by the Gymno Club Rhodanien. These exchanges are becoming more and more frequent and I’ve noticed the strengthening of ties within the naturist movement. We hardly ever have a pool session in Paris at which we don’t receive French or foreign visitors. We live today in a world on the move and the naturist movement is maintaining the rhythm. Thanks to the internet, it has never been easier to make friends and we hope that our activities give you the opportunity to meet other naturists. Don’t forget that our activities are open to everyone: Parisians, residents of the surrounding region and all over France and people from any corner of the world. The ANP’s goal is to bring together naturists from all over the world.

Events in January:

Over 20 people were at our Nude Year drinks organised by Speedy on January 6th.

The weekend in Baden Baden in Germany on the 20th and 21st was a big success! The two ANPs (Paris and Marseille) joined forces for a stay in this town famous for its spas.

There were 41 people (including 6 from the ANP) at the nude bowling event organised by the Gymno Club Rhodanien in Lyon on January 28th. It was an opportunity to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. Well done Éric and Bryan from the GCR for the event’s organisation. This club turns 90 in 2019 but is very young and dynamic and we’ll be organising more outings with them.

Upcoming events:

There are still places available for the nude bowling tournament in Marseille organised by the Association Naturiste Phocéenne on Saturday February 10th.

We’ve already taken a lot of registrations for our swimming competition on Monday February 12th. As with all of our activities, it will be in a fun atmosphere, so don’t be put off by the word “competition”!

There are only a few places left for Tuesday February 27th’s dinner at O’naturel naturist restaurant. I’ve never seen an outing fill up a full month before the date. Don’t hesitate to send us a message if you’re interested.

Naturist bowling in Paris: On Tuesday April 3rd, it’s our big gathering of the year. The ANP still holds the record for attendance at a nude bowling tournament, with 137 people in 2017. Can we do better in 2018? Sign up from today. You can pay by credit card on line, otherwise at the pool by cheque or in cash, or by post with a cheque.

Nude museum visit: On Saturday May 5th, in conjunction with the Palais de Tokyo, we’re organising a guided tour of the museum from 9:30am till midday. Don’t miss this rare event! Entry will be free.

You can register for these events by sending me an email, or at the welcome desk of the pool. For more information on our outings, please take a look at the events page on our website.

Monthly drinks: We’re in February and we all know what that means: crepes! So come along next Monday, February 5th, with your sweet of savoury crepes, your favourite toppings and drinks to enjoy them with.

New regional President: I’m thrilled to announce the election in January of our very own Julien Claudé-Pénégry to the post of President of the Île de France chapter of the French Federation of Naturism. He fills the place vacated by Jean-François Nieto, whom we thank for his work over the past six years.

Winter holidays: The pool’s water is changed twice a year, at the end of the summer holidays and during the winter break. The pool will thus be closed for two weeks from February 19th. During this period, the gym will remain open every evening from Monday to Friday, 9pm-11pm, for members with active membership. Our normal activities will resume on Monday March 5th.

Naturistly,
Laurent
