Nudesletter – April 2018

Hi,

During the last month, thanks to the organisation of our visit to the Palais de Tokyo on May 5th, several hundred people have asked to receive our Nudesletter. You have surely heard about this huge event organised by our association, which has made headlines around the world. Over 2.4 million people have seen the event on Facebook and 28,440 of you have shown your interest in attending. These figures are impressive for an event limited to 161 places, all of which have already been reserved.
The entire team of volunteers at the Paris Naturist Association (ANP) extends a warm welcome to our new readers. Follow this monthly publication to be kept up to date on new activities and outings that we organise. Our association is celebrating its 65th birthday in May but we grow younger every year. We’re always looking for ways to reinvent naturism to cater to the demands of today’s society. Our friends around France are often lucky enough to have access to natural spaces in which to practise naturism in warmer months. We don’t have such luck in Paris so the ANP offers a different form of naturism – still in the respect of oneself and of others – which is urban naturism. We therefore organise sessions of swimming, gym and yoga at the Roger Le Gall Swimming Pool in Paris and, outside of these activities, we organise various outings – sports oriented (like our bowling tournament this week), cultural (Palais de Tokyo), entertaining (comedy show on May 12th) or relaxing (like the recent visits to thermal spas in Germany and Belgium) – plus inter-club meetings throughout the year. If you’re reading the Nudesletter for the first time, don’t hesitate to join in!

Events in March:

The month kicked off with another evening of bowling at Ozoir, this time with a laser game thrown in and it ended with a very successful weekend in Belgium, with a nude visit to a water park in Ghent on Saturday 24th and a day at a spa in Boetfort on the Sunday.

Upcoming events:

It’s the world’s biggest nude bowling tournament and it’s happening this Tuesday, April 3rd, right here in Paris. There are a few places left, so don’t wait to reserve yours at this link, which will allow you to pay by credit card in total security. Let’s beat our very own world record of 137 that we set last year. For only €30, you will have three games, a light meal and a drink.

Next Saturday we’re off to Orleans for an evening at the Balnéades spa, with its hot and cold pools, steam room and sauna, with over a hundred naturists from all over France, organised by the Orleans Sun Club.

On Sunday April 8th, the film Spirale Danse based on the life of jazz saxophonist Nelly Pouget will be shown at the Club Gymnique de France in Villecresnes.

On Thursday April 12th, come to O’Naturel for a dance party at only €25 for an all you can eat buffet, €6 for alcoholic drinks and €4 for soft drinks. Reserve directly on the restaurant’s website or on 09 87 95 99 75.

We’ll be back at O’Naturel on Thursday 26th for a special ANP dinner at the very special price of just €30 for a three course meal.

You can register for these events by sending us an email, or at the welcome desk of the pool. For more information on our outings, please take a look at the events page on our website.

Monthly drinks: On Friday April 6th, come to the pool with your sweet or savoury dishes with an Easter theme. We’ll share food, drinks and laughter together before the end of the swimming session.

Closures: The pool and the gym will be closed on Easter Monday, April 2nd, and on Monday April 30th. The gym will be closed on Tuesday April 3rd and on Tuesday May 1st.

We will remain open throughout the spring break from April 16th to 27th with our usual hours of 9pm – 11pm on Mondays and Wednesdays and 9:30pm – 11:30pm on Fridays.

Social media: If you’re reading the Nudesletter for the first time and want to be informed on our activities more than just once a month, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Even from a distance, you will be able to keep up to date with all the happenings on the Paris naturist scene.

Survey: Cédric launched an opinion poll this week to test the water, to see how many people would be interested in a second pool with naturist sessions in the west of Paris. We’ll follow this up by showing the results during talks with Paris Town Hall. Please don’t hesitate to sign the petition today.

Television shoot: The ZDF, Germany’s largest public channel, is working on a report about naturism in Paris, for which they would like to film at O’Naturel one evening. They are thus looking fro at least two people who will be going soon (preferably between April 10th and 20th) and who agree to being filmed. As it’s a public channel, they will film discreetly and genitals will be pixelated.
If, in addition, the volunteers are going to the Palais de Tokyo on May 5th, that would be great.

Death of a militant naturist: I dedicate this Nudesletter to Kyrill Tokarev, who passed away on March 15th after a bicycle accident in Miami in February, at just 35 years of age. Kyrill was the creator of the famous blog Active Naturists and often organised nude events. His energy and his actions inspired an entire generation of naturists and we will never forget him.

Naturistly,
Laurent
