Nudesletter – February 2020

Hello!

January was a lovely start to the year. After a drop in numbers during the strikes, we’re back up to a healthy level at our swimming sessions, where we’re offering you more and more interesting activities.

Events in January:

There were 23 people at January 8th’s singing class. The demand is so big that we’re trying to increase the number of workshops and Vincent will be back again on February 5th to give us yet another one.

Another workshop that is always full is the massage class. Bernard and Hervé held another on the 13th where our members and visitors were able to learn some new techniques.

A few ANP members were among the 300 naturists who participated in a nude visit of the Boverie Gallery in Liège in Belgium on January 29th. Congratulations to the Belgian Naturist Federation for this huge success!

Upcoming events:

This Saturday, February 1st, we invite you to a nude visit of a contemporary art exhibition in Romainville near Paris, from 9:30 – 11:30am. The doors will open at 9 and entry is free.
Reservation is necessary.

On Monday February 3rd we’re organising another naturist swimming competition at Roger Le Gall swimming pool. Sign up for free by following this link. As with all our activities, this swim meet is open to all, regardless of sex, age or swimming level.

Vincent will be back on Wednesday February 5th at 9pm at the pool for another singing class. Reserve your places now for this very popular workshop.

Another night of naturist clubbing with the Beautiful Skin dance party is organised on Friday February 7th from midnight to 6am in the very heart of Paris. You can find more details on their Facebook page.

On Wednesday February 26th, the comedian Fred Brûlé will host a workshop in theatrical improvisation at the pool from 9pm.

On March 7th, we’re off to visit our friends at the Belgian Naturist Federation for a huge event at Lago water park in Ghent, from 6pm – 11h30pm. Last year there were 500 of us! Wave pool, wading pool, water slides, bar, restaurant, saunas, jacuzzi…there’s something for all tastes! If you’re looking for a space in a car between Paris and Ghent or if you can offer some seats in your car, please contact us.

On March 21st, the Valence Sun Club is inviting us to their regional naturist swimming competition. Registration for Team ANP is open.

The naturist play Nu et Approuvé will be back at the Palais des Glaces theatre on Sunday April 19th. Save the date!

For more information on our outings, please take a look at the events page on our website or send us an email or an SMS on +33 7 66 14 53 09.

Applications open for a poster design competition: Artists, graphic designers, taggers, photographers, illustrators… All forms of expression are targeted and if you’re artistic this call is for you. The organisers of Nu et Approuvé are launching a competition for the design of the bill poster to promote the play, to be published across paper and online media.

European youth meeting: The European Naturist Commission (EuNat) is organising its Youth Spring Rally near Rotterdam in the Netherlands from May 21st to 24th. This event is open to 18 – 28 year olds for just €50. Registration closes on April 19th.

Gym classes: Following the success of the gym classes given by Yvan twice a week over the past 18 months and at the deafening demand of our members, he will soon be present three times a week. From February 24th Claire will give a class on Mondays and Yvan will be with us on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

February drinks: As every year, the theme for our February drinks is Candlemas. On Wednesday February 5th, please bring your crepes, your favourite fillings and drinks for a moment of sharing.

Closure: The pool will be closed from Monday February 10th – 23rd for a water change. Our last session will be on Friday 7th and we will reopen on Monday 24th at 9pm.

Death: At the beginning of January we lost Bernard Gagneau, loyal member of the ANP for 29 years. During this time, he occupied all possible roles from simple club member to president. His engagement in the non-profit volunteer world was one of his great passions. He gave to others without ever asking recognition or congratulations, never counting the hours invested. If the ANP is in good health today, it’s thanks to Bernard’s huge contribution. Seriously ill for over a year, he fought his cancer with courage and dignity. We will never forget him.

Naturistly,
Laurent
