The often expressed definition of naturism stems from the International Naturist Federation’s Congress of 1974:
“Naturism is a way of living in harmony with nature, characterised by the practice of social nudity which, in turn, encourages self-respect, respect of others plus that of the environment.”
Naturism allows one to accept nudity – one’s own and that of others. It is a gift that we can give to our bodies and minds. They deserve it!
Naturism is the ultimate expression of freedom and equality; when naked, we are all equal. The inequalities and prejudices of the textile world (social class, physical defaults…) vanish in the naturist world.
